As we move into level 2 of COVID-19, we hope everyone is staying safe and enjoying the warm days of summer. We are so fortunate to be living in North West River Labrador, when many other places in our country, and the world are facing such adversity.
Summer is off to a good start. We would like to welcome our Green Team, Willa and McKenzie, and on our parks and grounds improvements, we welcome Reed and Joseph. Their work is already making a difference in our town.
Our boil water advisory is lifted. Thanks for your patience.
The Town building remains closed to the public, please call in advance if you wish to access any services in the building.
The Community Center is now open for bookings of up to 50 people call 497-8357.
The Thrift Shoppe is now accepting donations.
The Library is open with limited services. Call 497-8705 between 2-4:30 for further information.
Kenny Baikie will continue to ring the church bell every Sunday at 12:00pm. There will be a United church service July 19th at 11:00am everyone welcome.
We had a great beach cleanup evening. It was good to see so many people out helping. We remind all, while enjoying the beach this summer, practice social distancing. There will be no picnics tables on the beach this year, and remind friends from other communities to park at the ballfield and use walking trail, when going to the beach.
Our Canada Day celebration was a bit different this year, as we were unable to gather at the Community Center. A fly over from 5 wing was planned but due to an emergency call out, they were unable to pass by. It was great to see so many out for the flag raising despite the rain!
The Lift Station at Little Lake is completed. We are still holding out for road work to be done by this Fall. Contractors are now arriving in Labrador for the TLH and other paving projects.

All Tax bills are now overdue, water shut offs will start this upcoming Monday.
We would like to remind parents to ensure their kids know bicycle safety, and to watch for traffic.
We would like to welcome RCMP Constable Andreas Bremer to our town, and a safe send off to Constables Churchill and Cowper. Thanks for your service to our town over the past few years.
Our next Regular Council meeting will be Thursday July 23rd at 7:00pm. Public can attend meeting via conference call. Call the office a day prior if you would like to attend.
We would like to thank everyone for doing their part, helping us all move through this strange time. We are doing great, so far!
