As residents are aware, as of 8:00 PM, Friday, February 12, 2021, the Province of Newfoundland and Labrador is at COVID-19 Alert Level 5.

The Town of Happy Valley-Goose Bay Department of Public Works is advising the public that the Municipal Landfill (Dump) will be closing for the day one hour earlier than usual on Saturday, February 13, 2021. The facility will close for the day at 4:00 PM.

The Municipal Landfill will return to regular operating hours on Monday, February 15, 2021, at 8:00 AM.

February 8, 2021
Well, the first month of 2021 has come and gone. We are having a very mild winter, this brings concerns of ice safety. The groomer season is here, Corey Webber and Paul Cooper are our operators this year. They have been busy marking and cleaning the trail, and they made a couple of runs as far as Mulligan. There is lots of slush and less ice, not what we expect this time of the year, so everyone please use extreme caution when travelling.
